When I know that this year Europa topic is Astronomy, I already try my best to collect the FDC and stamps / Minisheet from the issuing countries. This is quite big project for me, as collecting Europe items is very costly for me and I also don't have so many friends from Europe. Just try my best to ask around and wish can get more and more help to complete the collections. The best is try to get a real posted FDC / cover on date of issue. If not then a mint FDC also great to me. Luckily, there are lots of friendly people from the Philately world. They are very kind enough to help me get the items. Some even is not the stamps collector!
Now showing a very beautiful and nice issue from Liechtenstein issued on 2 March 2009. You can see the stamps is having the special effect, is a hologram stamps. Very nice! Some of the Astronomy stamps issued this year having special effect, make it very nice. Like the Jersey issue shown previously is embossed with silver. I don't have friends from Liechtenstein, when I saw this stamps on the website, I wish that I can have one too. My wish become true , my friend Paul is helping me to get those items. So great! Thank you Paul.
Then next Astronomy issue to show is From Denmark. Thanks to Thomas and Freddy, both of you are so nice help me on the collection. First cover is posted on date of issue, because is a machine cancellation. Therefore might not able to see the date clearly.
This is the Stamps booklet, I don't get the full stamps booklet. Because it is too expensive. This is my friend who send me the stamps booklet cover and paste the set of stamps inside.
Then this is the set of stamps.
After that is the turn for the Astronomy stamps from the Netherland. This blue cover is sent on day of issue, 07 April 2009. My friend is using blue colour envelope , which just can representing the sky and have Astronomy stamps on it. Thanks Jetske for this nice cover and stamps!
This is a registered letter, using the full sheet of Astronomy stamps. So big surprise to me! As sometimes the Post worker is not allow my friend to use the stamps on registered mail. So lucky this time he met with a good worker allow him to put whatever stamps he want. Thanks to Paul for these nice stamps and FDC.
These are the items I received so far. Still have long journey to go! Hope more friends can help on this. May will be a very busy month, as lots of country plan to issue for the Astronomy in May. Also wish to get more and more and complete the collection!

Earth Hour 28 March 2009 8.30PM
What you are doing on 28 March 2009 8.30PM to 9.30PM? Are you also be a part of Earth Hour?
If yes, thank you very much for supporting the campaign and be a member to protect our Planet.
Earth Hour is a campaign to raise awareness of global warming. If you are not doing so for this year, hope you will join and do the same next year.
During the Earth Hour campaign, we will lights out, switch off not necessary electrical items and save energy. Just an hour we can help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
this is very meaningful campaign, everyone of us have the responsibility to protect our planet.
2009 is Malaysia first time officially take part in WWF's Earth Hour. Most of the government departments are participate, and also shopping complex.
Here are some video clips:
Petronas Twin Tower light off video clip
Earth Hour 2009 Sunway Pyramid Malaysia
Earth Hour 2009 Countdown @ CapSquare K.L.
Is quite success campaign. Hope will be more people participate in this campaign next year!
Only Australia post issue for this campaign if not mistaken. Because WWF-Australia pioneered Earth Hour in 2007. Hope maybe next year will have more country issue the stamps to remind people to be part of Earth Hour.
At the end have to thanks Syeon and Vera sending me those nice Earth Hour items.
Thank you!

Post from Another World
Post from another world, issued by Austria Post on 24 March 2006. Thanks to Edna, who help to get this mystery and nice issue.
From Austrian Post:
The ground meteorite has been applied to the stamp by the Austrian State Printing Company using a method specially developed for this purpose. The meteorite was first examined by the Vienna Natural History Museum, an institution that has acquired an excellent international reputation through over 200 years of collecting and investigating meteorites, and identified as being H-chondrite (a stone meteorite, subgroup of “ordinary chondrite”). The Vienna Natural History Museum’s examination provides proof beyond doubt that an original meteorite has been used for the stamp. The meteorite most probably originated from the Asteroid Belt, an accumulation of hundreds of thousands of chunks of stone, ranging in size from gravel stones to mountains, that orbit the sun between Mars and Jupiter (at an orbital radius around three times the distance between the earth and the sun).
The chemical composition of the mineral olivine (stated as Fa18) is typical of this kind of meteorite, and can be verified by examining the meteorite dust on the stamp. The chemical and physical properties of the meteorite examined, like all other meteorites, are such that they constitute no risk to human health.
The part of the roughly 19 kg meteorite that was not required for the production of the stamp has been deposited as a reference sample at the Vienna Natural History Museum, where it is on display.
